Papos de Anjo: Porto's dessert for mother's day

Mother's day is close and with it the traditional lunch. Papos de Anjo is a great option for dessert and Porto Tasty gives you the recipe of this sweet.

500g of sugar
9 egg yolks and 1 egg
0.5L of water
1 lemon peel
1 stick of cinnamon

Add sugar, water, lemon peel and cinnamon stick in a pan. Bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Preheat the oven to 180ºC and in the meantime grease small forms with margarine. Beat the egg yolks and egg in a bowl for about 15 minutes, until the mixture turns into a whitish foam. Fill the shapes and bake for 12 minutes - or until the sweet turns golden.

Remove the sweets from the oven and unmold. Let cool. Add the cold syrup, let stand a little and serve. One tip is to make a small hole in the papos de anjo so that they absorb the syrup and become even more delicious.
